The Price of Gas…

“Ummmm…was that you?”

No, I’m not talking about the unleaded kind of gas. I’m talking about the embarassing kind…

How mortified were you the first time you farted in front of your significant other? It’s like a strange relationship rite of passage, I guess….followed by mortification, embarassed laugher, and finally the hope that he or she will  someday let you live it down.

So what does it cost you to show this “flawed” side of yourself to someone?  It’s tough keeping your best foot forward all of the time…eventually the everyday you is going to creep out.

When you really dig down deep on the farting issue, at the very crux of it is trusting your partner with the real you and getting comfortable with one another.  Eventually you are stripped bare of your perfect date outfits, your well-timed charming stories and sleeping with makeup on and you have to reveal your real self. Doing so can be scary. But the good news is that ultimately everybody farts and everyone is flawed.

So embrace yourself….flaws and all. He or she is going to see them eventually whether you like it or not.  So, you can now stop blaming the dog…. 😉

So….are you afraid to show the real you? Share your concerns or ask a question….

hahahaha! He was sleeping when I did it.
Funny to, my ex could pee with the door open, but he couldn’t talk to me. I suppose certain people have their own ideas of intimacy! 😉

Embarrassing moments LOL…sometimes we want to appear perfect to our significant others while being ourselves seems not be good enough…

    You guys are fun!

Some people definitely have a really skewed view of intimacy…

I see so many friends who don’t feel that they are good enough. It’s so frustrating. Of course we are good enough! Sometimes I want to beat the good enough back into people….lol.

      I love this thread!
the men are hilarious. either way.
One of my exes would go to the toilet and while he was doing number 2 – run the tap so I couldn’t hear anything! But I still could. Once I said “Um Michael? I’s futile, can still hear you!” hahaha! He would never fart in front of me – he said he respected me too much. hahaha! ya right!
      xo
